| 5. The line of erosion from spring thaws can be seen from right to left horizontally along the slope. Below it, there are two wave attenuation barriers. One is natural, in the foreground, a rock rising. The second was created the summer of 1998, working with Joy Mills on the backhoe. It is hoped that this will slow down the eroding effect of spring storms hitting the slopes during periods of high tides, affording the vegetation a chance to continue to continue to establish itself. |
