Eagle Eye Aerial View of Site in Linkage Systems

An aerial view of the site. The site is in a Class A migratory bird fly zone. This visual makes it apparent how grossly the coastal development interferes with opportunities for forage and nesting. On the land, domestic and feral cats roam, killing many birds that attempt to find rest and food. Arrows indicate migratory patterns for foraging birds from the scant cover of the remaining undeveloped land. Eagles require large areas of wild habitat for forage and nesting. The pictured encroachment leaves them little opportunity to survive. The location of the marsh restoration is indicated in the lower left quadrant of the image. It was shot during the excavation for reclamation by Ben Magro.
