Ghost Nets Site "Before" 1991
The Ghost Nets site is man made land from the long abandoned granite quarrying industry. The made land buried an estuary at the base or a riparian zone. For a time it was the site of a deep water wharf for schooners to bring the cut stone to Eastern cities. Then it became the town dump. The site was purchased in 1990 by the artist and restored in 1997.
